Boston Students Receive Coats Through Local Cafe’s Wish-Granting Incentive
In preparation for the winter months, Wishing Cup delivers warm coats to university students in Boston who cannot afford one.
Wishing Cup isn’t just about serving delicious coffee, matcha, and light bites. Every sip and bite supports a wish and makes an impact that goes far beyond the plate.
Each month, our community votes on real wishes submitted by people like you. Anyone can write down a wish, drop it in our wishing cup, and at the end of the month, we bring the winning wish to life. No catch. Just kindness.
At the end of September 2025, we granted our third wish, which would be essential for university students facing a cold Boston winter.

How Customers Vote for the Winning Wish
Our team collects all the submitted wishes and invites our community to vote on Instagram for the one they want to see come true. Each comment counts as a vote, and the winning wish is then selected.

September’s Winning Wish
September’s wish came from a student who decided to pursue graduate school in Boston but was not used to winter, since she came from a country with only warm climates. All the money she invested was for graduate school, so even buying a winter coat would be expensive for her. She shared that many students, particularly those living on campus or in shared housing, often struggle to afford warm winter coats.

Thanks to your daily coffee purchase or the sweet treat you enjoy at the end of the day, we delivered lots of brand-new winter coats to Boston University, so students who need a coat don’t have to worry about buying one.
So, next time you're in Boston, stop by Wishing Cup at 45 Court Street. Order a drink, write down a wish for yourself, someone you love, or the entire community.
